What is a good symbolic way to represent the A in the scarlet letter?

i have to do a project for the scarlet letter. We have to make an A of out of something symbolic. My teacher gave the example of making an A out of roses to symbolize the rosebush by the prison door or to make an A out of twigs or branches to symbolize the forest or nature. please help i cannot think of anything.
