Will Obama's naive foreign policy ideas lead us to a Carter type presidency and gaffes?

Yes. Anyone who sincerely believes that Islamic fundamentalist terrorists will sit down and negotiate is just naive or in serious denial about their intentions. Those people hate us with all their being and would rather kill Americans than to look at us. One of my biggest questions to anyone who wants to talk to these groups is how are you going to even get them to the negotiating table; you going to drop engraved invitations over the mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan?? It is ludicrous to even entertain the thought sitting down and having a rational conversation with these people. Jimmy Carter should have learned his lesson when the Iranians held our emby hostage and he made an absolute fool of himself and our country by trying to negotiate with those students. And, as far as his talks with Hamas, he will be lucky to get home safely in my book. Obama thinks like Jimmy Carter in foreign policy so that would leave us wide open to terrorist attacks all over the world and here at home again. The only thing terrorists understand is a President who will tell them exactly what will happen to them if they mess with us again. I don't care what anybody says about President Bush, he is that kind of president and he has kept them busy in their own backyard for the past 5 years instead of over here and I am very thankful he was president on 9/11 because we would probably still be trying to get Al Gore out from under the bed and his thumb out of his mouth had he been president. I think Obama getting elected would be the worst mistake this country has ever made.
