Will a comet and telescope goldfish get along together?

I have a comet that is about 2 inches and I want to get a orange telescope eyed goldfish to have company. will these two get along or should I get a different type of fish??? I have had my comet since october 2009 and he has had a little fair fish friend and they got along well. my aquarium is big enough I use the 1inch a gallon rule and I also feed tetra goldfish flakes will all this suit a telescope eyed goldfish?
