Pentagon fires soldier for challenging Obama's birth...Are we are losing our freedom of speech?
An officer in the military doesn't have the right to challenge the President's birth. And trust me, I loathe Obama & his policies. Nevertheless, when this officer made this statement, he committed a violation of Article 88, UCMJ, to wit: "Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct."
