I want a new cell phone?

we have plenty of money for unlimed plans and stuff but both my parents dont think we should be paying $80 a month for a unlimed plan. i get tht. my parents don't like spending money like that. it would be $240 a month for me my sister and parents. we could do tht finachally they just choose not to. so im stuck with virgin mobile. the said they will get me any plan as long as i pay half every month or they will pay the hole thing if its under 40. i dont mind prepaid month but virgin mobile signel sucks and there phones suck even more. i really want the iphone where can i get that? or any droid also i live in new england so dont give me a service that does not work here plz. any plans. also i dont get why verizon has so many custermers it so exspensive! how do people afford these rediciles plans. also i need very little calling maybe 200 minutes a month but unlimed tex. who ever gives me the best answers gets ***** stars good luck
